Job Summary:

This role exists to oversee and maintain the inventory of the Atlanta manufacturing plant. This is accomplished through daily, weekly and monthly oversight of inventory management in the MRP system. Production posting and warehouse transactions are implemented and monitored to ensure accuracy and corrective measures are taken as needed. Additionally the individual will be responsible for generating PO’s and working with various vendors to maintain the quote file and address vendor related issues.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Daily cycle counts and sweeps to keep inventory accuracy correct
  • Reconciliation of inventory postings in the MRP system (IQMS)
  • Work with receiving and shipping to resolve receiving and shipping errors and provide training
  • Troubleshoot errors in the MRP system, find root cause and formulate corrective measures
  • Review open and closed work orders to ensure postings were correct and all materials used in the process were accounted for
  • Familiar with all components in the MRP system to support plant operations and train others as to their use in their job role.
  • Run annual inventory and create reports to aid in reconciliation of variances
  • Oversee handheld scanner use in the plant to include training new employees

Qualifications /Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently to identify and resolve organizational needs and required tasks with minimal supervision
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory control methods and lean manufacturing
  • Proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, charts and graphics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated and energetic
  • Bachelors degree a plus
